Why it started...
This picture of Tim's father hangs in his shop, I think it reminds him of how long his own passion for bikes has been, and also his roots. Tim and his brother, Peter, both worked for their father's service station and garage in Ft. Macleod, Alberta. Tim is a natural mechanic and he eventually branched out into bikes. His brother Peter bought the business and operated it when their Father retired.
When it started
Sideline Motorcycles was started by Tim in 1988 in a small garage at his home in Diamond City. As the business grew, Tim moved to a shop in Lethbridge for a few years. But again, he required more space eventually as the business grew. In 2005 he moved to the shop's current location on Highway 3. November 15, 2023 will mark the 18th anniversary at this location. The shop is located on an acreage where Tim and his family also live.
